Mystery beach death woman identified

THE body of a woman who was found wash up on a Scots beach has been identified by police.

The 61 year-old Kirkcaldy woman’s family have been told of her death after her remains were found at West Wemyss beach in Fife by a shocked member of the public on Monday.

Detectives said they had halted an investigation into her death, describing it as “non suspicious.”

Cops originally thought she was as young as 40 years-old as they launched a “full-scale enquiry.”
