Tobin hoaxer torments Vicky’s family on Facebook

A VILE hoaxer pretending to be serial killer Peter Tobin has posted a message on a Facebook site dedicated to getting justice for his victims.

The message was posted yesterday (Wed) on the V.D.A Petition page, named after Tobin’s confirmed victims, Vicky Hamilton, Dinah McNicol and Angelika Kluk.

The hoaxer, who has also set up a Peter Tobin page on Facebook, wrote that he was: “Living life in Saughton.”

Michael Hamilton, father of Vicky, branded the message as “sick” and said he hoped police would try to track down the hoaxer as a warning to others.

Pub landord laid to rest after emotional tribute by family

A FATHER-of-two who was found dead outside his pub was said to have “enough friends to fill a football stadium but not enough enemies to fill a phone box” at an emotional funeral today (Tue).

Steven Curran, 47, was discovered lying behind the Dolphin Inn at Whitecraig, East Lothian, at around 2am on Thursday 23 October.

A police investigation into his death concluded had been murdered.

Yesterday, it was the turn for emotional mourners to pack into Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel in Edinburgh to pay their respects to a man who was “taken too soon”. Continue reading

Dads’ send video message letter to quiz killer Peter Tobin

Michael Hamilton hopes Tobin will reply to his letter

MONSTER Peter Tobin has been told to confess his crimes in a video message sent by the dads of two girls he killed.

Michael Hamilton and Ian McNicol hope cons will play the message to evil Tobin even if he tries to avoid watching it.

The dads of Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol brand Tobin as a paedophile and ask: “Why kill such lovely girls that did you no wrong?”

And they taunt the killer that when he dies he will be damned to eternity trapped “in the little cell you detest”.

Funeral of pub boss to be held in Edinburgh next week

THE funeral of a father-of-two who was found dead outside the rear of his pub is to take place next week.

Steven Curran, 47, was discovered lying behind the Dolphin Inn at Whitecraig, East Lothian, at around 2am on Thursday 23 October.

It is thought that the incident is related to a single car collision which took place on the A1 the same night.

A local man has since been charged with his murder.

Mr Curran’s funeral service will now be held at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel in Edinburgh on Tuesday at 11am.

A funeral notice published yesterday read: “Tragically taken from us, Stevie, much loved husband of Jill, proud and loving dad of Abbie (13) and Lucy (6), adoring son of Fred and the late Sheila and brother to Kathleen, Evelyn and Sheila.

“A service will be held at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel on Tuesday, November 9, at 11am to which all family and friends are welcome.”

Police name man killed in Glenrothes double shooting

POLICE have confirmed the name of the man shot dead in Glenrothers on Sunday night as businessman Mohammed Nadeem Siddique.

Police in Fife were called to flats in Forres Drive in Glenrothes at 9:25pm where the 38-year-old was found dead.

Another injured man was found outside and was taken to hospital by ambulance crews.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was shortly released.

His name had not been confirmed by police.

Officers are still looking to speak with a man who is described as being in his 30’s with short brown hair and of stocky build.

He is described as wearing a dark coloured zip-up top and is believed to have been in the vicinity at the time of the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody with any knowledge of this incident to come forward and call Fife Constabulary on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where all calls are treated in confidence.”

A MURDER hunt has been launched after a man was killed and another injured in a double shooting on Sunday night.

Police in Fife were called to flats in Forres Drive in Glenrothes at 9:25pm where they found one man dead.

Man charged with murder of Whitecraig pub boss

A 23-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court tomorrow (Mon) charged with the murder of Dolphin Inn pub boss Steven Curran.

The man, who has also been charged with the theft of a car, is believed to have handed himself into police.

Steven Curran, who had two daughters aged six and 13, was found dead behind his pub in Whitecraig, East Lothian in the early ours of Thursday morning.

Police said the incident was connected to a road traffic accident on the A1 some 20 miles away, where a Toyota Celecia – believed to belong to Mr Curran’s wife – was discovered abandoned after colliding with a central reservation on the southbound carriageway sometime around 12.30am.
